Awards 2011 - 2012

Gabriella currently takes classes in Grade 3 ballet and has recently started intermediate foundation. She received a distinction in her grade 2 ballet exam after only studying the grade for two terms. She was also chosen to be a junior associate with the Royal Ballet and travels to Manchester for regular classes with an RAD examiner. This year, Gabriella has been offered a place at the Royal Ballet summer school in White Lodge, she was one of 200 students chosen from around 1500 entries from all over the world. She will be taking her grade 3 ballet exam in the summer.

Ellie joined the dance school in her last year of Primary. However, she has only been taking ballet classes for two years. In these two years she has taken her grade 2, grade 3, grade 4 and grade 5 exams, receiving very high marks, mostly in the 80s. She is now working towards taking her grade 6 exam as well as starting work on the new Intermediate. Ellie also takes classes in modern (grade 6), tap (grade 4), Senior musical theatre, pointe work and Senior showgroup. In July she came with the school to perform in France and has also taken part in the school's regular cabaret shows at the Tynedale hotel and Llandudno Town Hall. She recently took her Bronze medal disco exam and received 99%. Ellie will also be taking her modern and Tap exams at Easter. In 2008 Ellie was the first to win a "progress award" with the school and is continuing to progress to a very high standard. She is currently in year 12 at Ysgol John Bright.

Ellen is currently in year 8 at Ysgol John Bright in Llandudno. She takes classes in ballet, tap, modern, disco, musical theatre and has recently been invited into the senior show group. Ellen has always excelled in tap and has received A’s in all of her tap exams to date. She is currently studying the new grade 3 tap and will be taking the exam this year. She is currently studying grade 4 modern and will be taking her grade 3 RAD ballet exam in June. In the summer of 2011 Ellen was invited to perform with the school in France and has also taken part in a number of ectra shows with the dancing school, including the Happy Faces charity shows in Llandudno town hall and other charity concerts in Venue Cymru.

Beci is currently in year 8 at Ysgol John Bright. She takes weekly classes in all subjects and is currently on: ballet (grade 3), tap (grade 3), modern (grade 4), Senior Musical Theatre and has also recently moved up into the "Senior showgroup." Beci is very quick at picking up routines and always puts in 100% at all of the lessons. This year she also took part in the Happy Faces charity shows at the Llandudno town hall. She was also part of the group of children invited to perform with the dance school in France in July 2010. In her most recent ISTD disco exam she received an A with 93%.

Bethan was one of the first members of the dance school when it opened in 2004, and at 24 is now the oldest member of the school. She previously taken classes in tap, modern, disco and musical theatre. Bethan left the school for three years while she attended Manchester Met University but after finishing her degree she returned to the area and came back to dance lessons. She now takes classes in grade 4 tap, seniors and musical Theatre. She has performed in every summer show since the school opened as well as helping out backstage. She is currently at Bangor University and is studying to become a secondary school teacher.

Rhianna has been with the dancing school for a number of years after joining the Primary ballet class. She is currently in her last year of primary school and is taking ballet (grade 3), modern (grade 2) junior musical theatre, drama and disco. She will be taking her grade 2 modern exam in march and ballet in the summer. She received an A in her all of her previous modern and disco exams, with her latest disco exam result being 95%
