Ballet is the basic foundation for most forms of dance. It will improve posture, balance, flexibility and increase agility. The artistry, musicality and grace of ballet are great factors in improving children's confidence.
Children are able to take exams at the school with the Royal Academy of Dance.
Children may start classes from age 3 and in part tie school.
Modern dance is a rhythmic dance style which originated in America. It is often seen on the stages of musical productions and is know for its theatrical qualities. The style uses travelling steps, high kicks, leaps and turns, and will help to develop strength and flexibility. Children have the option to take exams in tap with the Imerial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD)
Children can start Modern from age 4
Tap dance is a theatrical art form often used on stage in musicals. Tap shoes are worn, which have small metal plates on the toe and heel to give the distinctive sound. Children have the option to take exams in tap with the Imerial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD)

At the disco classes we aim to cover all aspects of modern dance, including disco freestyle, street, hip hop, commercial and many more.
Children are given the opportunity to take disco freestyle medal exams with the ISTD.

The Mini Pop-stars class is an introduction to Musical Theatre. Children combine singing and dance together to perform at the annual summer show.
Children can start Mini Pop-stars at age 4
Musical Theatre combines singing and dance. Children are given the chance to sing as part of a group or solos during the annual summer show. The class combined a combination of styles from musicals and popular culture.
Children normally start Musical Theatre from school year 3

Pointe technique is the part of classical ballet technique that concerns pointe work, in which a ballet dancer supports all body weight on the tips of fully extended feet within pointe shoes.
Children can start Pointe from secondary school age, based on the teachers assesment and level of ballet training. Children must have been studying ballet for a number of years and have developed the strength and technique needed before being allowed 'en pointe'.
Acro is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements.
We follow the Acrobatic Art syllabus.
Children can start Acro from age 4 (when in full time school)
Acro is not offered as a stand-alone class and must be taken as well as another dance style (ballet, modern or disco)
The seniors class is an invitation only class where children work on show routines based on a number of different dance styles.
To be invited into the seniors class children must have been training with the dance school for a number of years, have studied technique classes (ballet, modern) to a high level and have developed the strength, stamina, technique and flexibility to be able to perform complex routines. Factors like dedication, attendance and exam results are also taken into consideration.
