Modern
We follow the syllabus set by the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing).
These classes use exercises to develop core strength and flexibility to facilitate the leaps, travelling, steps and isolations that the syllabus demands. The dance style can be strong and dynamic or soft and lyrical.
Classes are available from age 4 upwards
Students start with the Primary level before moving up through the grades and onto the major exams.
From Grade 6 children can earn UCAS points towards their higher education applications.
Every year each modern class takes part in the annual summer show, giving the children the chance to perform on a big stage.

In our modern classes children learn a combination of modern theatre, jazz and lyrical exercises and dances. The technique learnt in these classes helps your child to become a strong, flexible and versatile dancer as well as the opportunity to take part in shows and take exams.
