Children may start Musical Theatre at age 7 In the Junior Musical Theatre classes children are introduced to different musicals and styles of musical theatre. They learn songs from the musicals along with other popular songs and combine them with simple movement and dance routines.
As there are no exams in this subject, children are sometimes offered the chance to perform in other shows throughout the year as well as performing two large musical theatre sections in the annual school shows.
Children are also given the opportunity to record their group singing at a recording studio
Entry to this class is not by age. Children must be willing to sing on their own or in small groups. In this class children now learn to sing in harmony as well as adding more intricate dance routines with their songs. They are also given the chance to record their singing at a recording studio as well as perform two numbers in the annual summer show.
