We follow the syllabus set by the RAD (Royal Academy of Dance)
Ballet is a fun and challenging activity, offering many benefits for young children. It is great for improving posture, developing strength and co-ordination, maintaining good fitness levels and improving social skills. The RAD program is ideal for dancers looking for a syllabus that offers learning along with fun and a feeling of accomplishment. Learning ballet teaches children discipline and helps them to develop more confidence. Even though your child may not pursue a career in dance, the benefits achieved will stay with them for years to come.
Students start with the Dance to Your Own Tune curriculum (our Princess Ballet), move through Pre-Primary and Primary levels and then into Graded and Vocational Graded levels.
From Grade 6 children can earn UCAS points towards their higher education applications.
Every year each ballet class takes part in the annual summer show, giving the children the chance to perform on
Ballet training from a young age is essential to go on to have a career in dance. Also only children who take ballet class and have been studying ballet from a young age will be eligible for our Seniors Show team
